Adopt-A-Tree to plant at Black Creek Community Farm

Everyone (even if you’re taking home a tree) is invited to sign up for the Adopt-a-Tree program at Black Creek Community Farm. Participants will take part in a planting and care workshop prior to receiving their tree to plant at Black Creek Community Farm. 


Volunteer at this event! 

Black Creek Community Farm has partnered with Tree for Me and is seeking volunteers to assist in a variety of roles.

  • Please note volunteers will be expected to attend a Tree for Me training session in September

  • Volunteers MUST to be available on September 30th between 12:00 - 5:30pm for event setup and cleanup.

Benefits to Volunteering with Black Creek Community Farm's Tree for Me event:

  • High school students can collect volunteer hours towards their 40 hours

  • You can meet new friends who share an interest in the environment, gardening, and community building

Volunteer Positions Available: 

  • Outreach: Help Black Creek Community Farm get the word out about Tree for Me!

  • Greeters: Sign-in guests, explain the Tree for Me process, hand out trees and direct people to workshops

  • Workshop Hosts: Teach tree recipients how to properly plant and care for their new tree.

  • Tree Planting Guides: Direct attendees to designated planting spots. Help hand out tools and demonstrate how to properly handle tools if needed. Assist with tree planting when needed.

  • Food/Drink helpers: Help prepare and serve food.

  • Traffic Organizer: Direct drivers to parking spots, direct attendees to check-in tables.


TTC: 10 minute walk away from Pioneer Village Station. 

Parking: Very limited parking available on site.
